Spotify + Americanafest were seeking a feature signage solution for their upcoming showcase performance by award winning singer / songwriter Sheryl Crow. The brief called for an authentic piece that evoked a warmth indicative of handmade craftsmanship and the passage of time while balancing the modernity of the Spotify branding. An expedited turnaround of one week provided an added challenge.

Using a blend of traditional techniques and modern equipment, the sign was painted and carved of Indian hardwoods, hand-bent corten steel banding, and two custom mounting options for the set builders. The perfect balance of legibility and subtlety was achieved in the meticulous weathering process to complete the look.
